The Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame honors individuals whose achievements, leadership, innovation, and lasting contributions have advanced rodeo, ranching, the equine industry, western business, agriculture, western heritage, entertainment, and the western lifestyle.

 

Nominees may be lifelong Texans, individuals whose accomplishments have significantly impacted Texas, or those who have chosen Texas as their home and continue to contribute to its Western heritage and culture.

CATEGORY OF NOMINATION

Suggested areas of contribution may include rodeo, ranching, the cattle industry, the equine industry, western business or Spirit of Texas. 

 

Spirit of Texas: Recognizes individuals whose contributions in music, literature, art, media, entertainment, or cultural preservation have strengthened and promoted Texas Western heritage and the Western way of life.

Please describe the nominee's achievements, leadership, character, and lasting contributions. Why should this individual be inducted into the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame? How have they influenced the western industry, western heritage, or the western way of life? Please attach additional pages if more space is needed.

SUPPORTING MATERIALS

A biography, resume, or career summary is strongly encouraged.

 

Additional supporting materials such as articles, awards, photographs, videos, interviews, websites, social media pages, publications, and historical records are welcomed and may assist the Selection Committee during the review process.

Nominations remain active for three (3) years from the date received.

 

Supporting materials may be submitted separately if they are not available at the time the nomination form is submitted.

 

Incomplete nominations may be considered; however, additional information helps the Selection Committee fully evaluate each nominee.

 

SELECTION PROCESS

The Selection Committee reviews all nominations and supporting materials. Selected inductees will be contacted directly. Public announcements will be made after all selected inductees have been notified.

 

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Submitted nomination materials become part of the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame archives and will not be returned.

 

Please do not submit original photographs, awards, documents, books, artifacts, or other irreplaceable materials. Copies, scans, digital files, website links, online articles, videos, interviews, and reproductions are preferred.
